Robert Justin Fields (Justin) passed away on his 22nd birthday due to injuries from a traffic accident. He is predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents, and is survived by everyone else who loved him, including his parents Robert (Bob) and Loree Fields, his girlfriend Carley Bajon, his Aunts Elaine, Terri, Jani, and Irene and his Uncle Richard and their spouses, his cousins Michael, Ryan, Andrew, Jenna, Cheryl, Karen, Austin and Brandon, and his many friends. Justin was a mechanical engineering major at LSU and was focused on a future career in aerospace. His recent jobs included a current internship at Bascom Hunter and a 2021 summer internship at the Syncom Space Services Michoud Assembly Facility where he was a NASA contractor. He loved music and building things. He played the piano, clarinet and saxophone. He was in the jazz band during middle school at Episcopal School of Baton Rouge, in the concert and marching bands in high school at Parkview Baptist School, and in the LSU Tiger Marching Band as a freshman at LSU. He was in robotics in both middle school and in high school. Starting with his sophomore year at LSU, he decided to focus his extracurricular time on the LSU Tiger Racing Team and was currently the 2021-2022 Lead Powertrain Engineer. In addition to his girlfriend Carley, his best friends were Kevin Cruz who became his friend almost immediately when Justin started school at Parkview Baptist, and Douglas Bryd. We would like to thank Mrs. Judy Causey (Music for Kids) and Mrs. Yannah Gustafson (his piano teacher) for developing his natural talent in music. His favorite school teachers were: Mr. Paul Taranto (his Band Leader during 8th grade); Mr. Sean Bramley (his Band Leader during 9th grade); and then for 3 years in a row (10th, 11th, and 12th grade), his favorite teacher was Mr. Shawn Liner (Chemistry, AP Physics, and Robotics). Justin always had a smile on his face and radiated positivity with his easygoing spirit. He was a joy to everyone who knew him, and he will live on forever in the hearts of all who loved him.
