Justin Allan Goode, of Kyle, Texas formerly of
Moundsville, WV, passed away in a tragic accident on July 4, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 32.
Justin was a dedicated professional, serving as the Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager with Ziegenfelder Frozen Treat Company. His commitment to excellence in his field was well-known and respected. His career was his passion as it was the driving force for his exciting move to Texas.
A man of many passions, Justin was an accomplished wrestler, securing the title of West Virginia JR State Champion in 2008. Justin went on to have a very successful HS wrestling career. His love for the sport continued as he devoted his time to coaching wrestling at Moundsville Middle and John Marshall High School, inspiring and mentoring young athletes.
Justin's adventurous spirit led him to travel extensively, exploring much of the world and embracing its diverse cultures with his beloved friends. A fan of the Baltimore Ravens and the WVU Mountaineers (where he was a season ticket holder) he took great joy in supporting his favorite teams.
Above all, Justin cherished his family and friends and his Husky Rampage. He held a special place in his heart for his niece and nephew, Jax and Lizzy, and treasured the moments spent with them. His bond with his parents, Kevin and Tricia (Boyd) Goode, and his brother Tyler, along with Tyler's wife Emily, was profound and enduring.
Justin's grandparents, Grandpa Stan and Grandma Kay Duplaga, Pampa Ron (Nana Patty) Boyd, Pappy Allan and Mimi Andrea Goode, shared in his life with love and affection. He was also dearly loved by his aunts and uncles: Jason (Dawn) Boyd and their daughter Khloe, Rick (Tracy) Goode and their children Lindsey(Isaac) Tingler and Zach, Kim (Shane) Ullom and their children Madi and Abbi.
Justin was an alumnus of John Marshall High School, class of 2011, and WVU earning a Bachelor of Science in Food Biology from West Virginia University. He also completed the Culinary Arts Program at West Virginia Northern Community College.
Justin maintained very close connections with his childhood and lifelong friends, who were like family to him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and love that will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Family and friends will be received Monday, July 14, 2025 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM and Tuesday, July 15, 2025 from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM CARE Funeral and Cremation Services, 1500 Second Street,
Moundsville, WV. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date. Justin's family and friends mourn his loss and celebrate the vibrant life he lived.
