BURLEY – Justin Ray Mooso, a 62-year-old resident of Burley, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Parke View Rehabilitation and Care in Burley.
Justin was born June 14, 1963, in Burley, Idaho, the son of Donald R. and Mary Kathleen (Massio) Mooso. He attended Minidoka county schools and graduated from Minico High School, the class of 1981.
He studied briefly at Phoenix Institute of Technology, then went to work for 20 years in Los Angeles, California, assisting with the tunnel excavation for the subway system.
Justin had a passion for racing dirt bikes and took every opportunity to do so. He was a loving son and brother and had a close relationship with his great-nephew, Parker.
He is survived by his mother, Kathy Mooso; brother, Troy Mooso; sister, Kirsten (Rick) Allred; uncles, Ron (Sandra) Massio and family, and Bob (Peggy) Massio and family; nieces, Whitney Pruett, and Allie Neal; great-nephew, Parker.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald R. Mooso.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, August 15, at Rupert Cemetery, located at 450 North Meridian, in Rupert. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home of Burley.
The family would like to thank the staff of Parke View for the care they gave Justin over the past few years.
