Justino Chavez Rodriguez, a cherished family man, respected community member, and talented singer, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025, in Jackson, Mississippi, at the age of 61. Born on April 14, 1964, in Mexico, to Margarita Rodriguez and the late Francisco Chavez, Justino's life was a testament to the enduring strength of love, family, and hard work.

Justino's journey led him from his birthplace in Mexico where he met and married the love of his life, Lucinda Hernandez they later moved to Jackson, Mississippi. Together, they built a life filled with joy and laughter, raising a family that included their children Francisco, Humberto, Justino, and Ricardo Chavez, and their daughter, the late Esmerelda Chavez. Justino was a pillar of strength for his family and took immense pride in his role as a father. His legacy continues to flourish through his cherished grandchildren, William, Kevin, Amy, Oliver, and Anthony Chavez, who will forever remember their abuelo's warm embrace and infectious smile.

In addition to his devoted wife and mother, Justino is survived by his loving siblings, Librio, Prajadiz, Emma, Gudzilla, and Petra. Each of them carries treasured memories of Justino's kindness, humor, and unwavering support. Together, they shared in the joys and sorrows of life, bound by an unbreakable familial bond.

A hardworking man, Justino dedicated many years to the construction industry. His colleagues knew him as a man of integrity and dedication, someone who brought not only his skill but also his heart to every project. Justino's commitment to his work was matched only by his involvement in his community, where he was known for his willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need.

Outside of his professional life, Justino's passion for singing was well known among his friends and family. His voice had the power to light up a room and bring comfort to those around him. He cherished the moments spent singing and being with friends, creating memories that will be treasured by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Justino Chavez Rodriguez lived a life marked by the love he gave and the love he received. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, yet his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and the many lives he touched.
