K. Baugh Obituary

Published by Legacy on Feb. 27, 2026.
K. Boyd Baugh, 94, died Saturday February 21, 2026.

Boyd was born November 11, 1931 in Logan, Utah to Kenneth V. Baugh and Luetta Clawson. He married Donna Johnson on June 14, 1954 in the Logan Temple. He graduated from Logan High School and Utah State University.

He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served a mission in Denmark and served faithfully in various callings including bishop of the Stanford Ward and also the Los Altos 1 st Ward. Boyd also served for many years on the Community Relations Executive Committee, San Francisco Bay Area Public Relations-Public Affairs. He and his wife, Donna, moved to Salt Lake in 2012 and he continued to serve whenever and wherever asked.

Boyd cherished his family above all else, and it showed in everything he did. Whether gathered around the table or simply spending time together, he was fully present with the people he loved most. To his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, he was a steady and trusted mentor - someone they could turn to for wisdom and guidance as they navigated their own lives. Perhaps one of the greatest gifts he and mom ever gave the family was the week-long reunion in Park City, a beloved tradition they lovingly organized for 30 years.

He was an entrepreneur who built a successful business and was an inspirational leader with deeply held values.

Boyd loved his country and served in the Army Reserves for many years.

Boyd's pride in Utah State University ran deep. He was a Utah State alumnus, an avid Aggie fan. Boyd carried that blue and white spirit with him wherever life took him -serving as the USU Alumni President in Northern California and lending his time and talent to the Utah State University Foundation Board.

Survivors include: Diane (Ken Rose), Ken Baugh, Sherry (Glen Titensor) his brother Glenn Baugh, 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by the love of his life Donna, his parents, his sister Janice, his daughter-in-law Melinda and his great-granddaughter Junnie.

A special thanks to his caregiver Norma Blake who lovingly cared for him and kept him safe, content and comfortable over the past year.

Boyd's funeral will be held at the LDS Church located at 135 A Street, Salt Lake City, UT 84103 on March 6 th at 11:30 preceded by a viewing at 10 AM.
