Katherine Marlene Cain, 91, of Belmont, Ohio passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Trinity Health St. Clairsville. She was born on May 5, 1934 in Belmont County to the late Paul and Thelma Jean (Johnson) Hinkle.

Marlene loved being at home on the farm, loved her sisters, chickens, and playing cards. She was a proud cheerleader and graduate of Belmont High School. Marlene was a sales associate in the Lingerie Department for Sears for 18 years. She was a loving mother, she lived for her family. Marlene looked forward to the Cain Fall Party every year where she got to spend time with her family and neighbors.In addition to her parents,

Marlene was preceded in death by her husband, Everette "Junior" Cain; sons, Michael Cain and Mark Allen Cain; siblings, Betty June Burghy, Larry Hinkle, Junior Hinkle, and Charles Lee Hinkle; and special niece, Joyce Jennewein.

Marlene is survived by her son, Matt (Amy) Cain; daughter-in-law, Cindy Cain; grandson, Sean Cain; siblings, Deanna (Steve) Anderson and Patricia Groves; many nieces and nephews; and her loving companion, Cody.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 from 4-8pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. The service well be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at 11:00 am with Brent Roth officiating. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Bethesda, Ohio.
