Kailey Piper Obituary

Kailey was born August 23, 1990, in Princeton, Illinois the daughter of Doug Piper and Renee Piper Gerard. She worked at Skoonerz Bar & Grill and became a Certified Nursing Assistant. Kailey enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, listening to loud music, hikes in the woods, trying out new restaurants, making people laugh, vacations, and coloring. Most importantly she loved spending time with her children, especially swimming with them.
She is survived by her father Doug (Roxy) Piper; mother Rachael "Renee" (Mike Moriarity) Gerard; children Eastyn Ehm, Jaxsyn and Brynleigh Specht; sister Allyssa (Austin) Hewitt; stepsister Misty Stocking; maternal grandmother Ketra Fordham; nieces Emmy Thompson, Kynslee and Hadlie Hewitt, Ahmyrie Peden, and Kennedy Stocking; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her baby sister Hannah Piper; paternal grandparents William "Bill" and Fran Piper; maternal grandfather Richard "Dick" Fordham; and stepbrother Nick Stocking.
Our family hopes that Kailey's life will serve as both a warning and an inspiration. A warning of the devastating toll addiction can take, and an inspiration to show love to those who are fighting battles we may not see or understand. In honoring Kailey, may we choose empathy over judgement, and may we extend love to those who may feel lost.
Cremation rites were accorded.
A private family celebration of life will be held at Norberg Memorial Home, Inc & Monuments.
A memorial has been established for her children in lieu of flowers.
