Kaitlyn Elizabeth Chamness, 34, of Lawrenceville GA, passed away unexpectedly on Friday May 27, 2022. Katie was born in Plantation FL to William & Cynthia Chamness. Katie was a kind, funny, happy woman with a heart greater than this world.
She graduated from Central Gwinnett High School in 2006, where she was an exceptionally talented Softball Player and integral pillar of the school community. She attended the University of Georgia with interest in Sociology. She spent her young adult life working with friends and established colleagues at Construction Materials of Norcross, GA where she had continued growth and happiness in her professional career.
Katie had a deep love for her animals and had a few loving pets over the years to include Cookie, Rocko, Chipper, Ellie and Colby. These animals were a strong part of her family and life. More than anything, Katie had a love for her Family and Friends. She had a deep, burning love and was the most caring woman anyone could know. Katie had faced trials and tribulations over the years however, remained an active light in the lives of others. We were loved. We are loved. Because of Katie.
Katie found true love in Dustin Monetta. Their love was magical and so obvious to everyone. We are so grateful that her final years were spent with him.
She leaves behind her loving partner, Dustin Monetta; Mother, Cynthia Chamness; Father, William Chamness; Brother, Bradley Chamness; Sisters, Carrie Campbell and Jennie Burkhalter; Nephews and Nieces, Ryan Thomsen, Adley Chamness, Brenden Campbell, Asher Burkhalter, Sydney Campbell, and expectant niece to the Burkhalter family.
The family will receive Friends & Family from 3pm – 5pm on Sunday June 5, 2022 containing a Celebration of Life at 4pm.
