Ruskee Schubert Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Tim Stewart Funeral Home - Lawrenceville on Jan. 26, 2026.
Ruskee Carraway Schubert, age 63, born on November 18, 1962, in Montgomery, Alabama, was called to her eternal home on January 22, 2026, at her residence in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved daughter of the late Anne Carraway and Thomas Carraway, Sr. Ruskee grew up in Lawrenceville, Georgia, and graduated from Central Gwinnett High School in 1981, where she was crowned Homecoming Queen her senior year. She pursued a career in real estate and had a true passion for sales. Later in life, she and her husband made South Carolina their home, where she spent the remainder of her life as a devoted stay-at-home mother to their surprise twins. Ruskee is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Joseph Schubert; sons, Tanner Roderick and Thomas Schubert (Gabi); daughters, Kendal Roderick (Garrett) and Taylor Schubert; stepsons, Christopher Schubert and Joey Schubert (Jessica); stepdaughter, Ashley Reyes (Alex); eight grandchildren, with two more on the way; her father, Thomas Carraway, Sr.; brother, Thomas Carraway, Jr. (Carla); and sisters, Tessa Shirley (Lewis) and Kelley Cofer (Shane), as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins and her pups Bella and Stella. Ruskee was known for her unconditional love and was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was marked by love, compassion, and an unwavering faith in God. A celebration of Ruskee's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Tim Stewart Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
