Kale Timothy Obituary
Published by Legacy from Aug. 4 to Aug. 6, 2025.
Kale Brig Timothy had a quiet strength, a steady hand, and a heart that loved deeply. He was the kind of person who noticed what needed doing and simply did it. He solved problems, built things that lasted, and created a life full of laughter, loyalty, and love.
The youngest child of Guy and Donna Timothy, Kale grew up in a close-knit family that shaped the steady presence he became for so many. He graduated from Granite High School and met Pam Faucett when she was working at the Arctic Circle his parents owned. What began as playful teasing grew into a lifelong love. This year marks their fiftieth wedding anniversary, a testament to the enduring bond they created together. She remained his sweetheart and his greatest comfort through every season.
Kale built a career at Poll Sound, working alongside his brother Deward. He was exacting in his craft and had an uncanny ability to understand how things worked and how to make them better. Kale believed in doing things right, not just fast. His quality was second to none, and he never cut corners. He was also a generous and patient mentor, always willing to share his knowledge. His calm guidance launched many careers, and those who learned from him never forgot the lessons he taught or the way he led by example. His work left a lasting legacy in places near and far, from the sound system at Rice-Eccles Stadium, which carried through the 2002 Winter Olympics, to the sound systems at the Polynesian Cultural Center on Oahu.
Kale loved to cruise. He and Pam explored the world together by sea, visiting dozens of islands and countries throughout their adventures. Whether relaxing on the deck or discovering a new port, Kale relished the rhythm of the ocean and the chance to share those memories with the one he loved most.
He was a devoted father: present, protective, and filled with a pride he didn't always speak but always showed. He was there for his kids in the ways that mattered most. His love wasn't loud, but it was constant, and it shaped the lives of those he raised.
Kale found joy in the simple things: a well-placed shot on a target, a quick getaway to Wendover, the wind rushing past as he rode. He had a love of speed-cars, motorcycles, dirt bikes, snowmobiles-and took special pride in his Trailblazer, souped up with a supercharger.
He had a quirky sense of humor and loved to laugh. He was known for a well-executed prank, the kind that caught you by surprise but always came from a place of loving mischief.
Kale is survived by his sweetheart and constant companion, Pam; his cherished daughter, Dawn; his devoted son, Chad (Carlie); and his grandson, Braxton, who lit up his life and made him endlessly proud. He is also survived by his brothers, Bart and Deward (Kathy).
He was preceded in death by his treasured son, Scott-a loss he carried always-and by his parents, Guy and Donna.
Kale passed away on August 2, 2025, after a courageous journey with cancer. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Utah Cancer Specialists and Solstice Hospice for their compassionate care and support.
He leaves behind a life built with his hands and lived with his heart. Kale was deeply loved. He will be profoundly missed.
