Kaleigh Anne Bugbee passed away peacefully on July 31, 2025. She was born on December 10, 1987, to parents Kristin (Redman) Shirey and Scott Bugbee, Kaleigh's vibrant spirit and infectious laughter brought joy to all who knew her throughout her 37 years of life.
Kaleigh's love for life was evident in her passion for music and singing. Her voice was a source of comfort and happiness for many, and she could often be found leading a rousing karaoke session, much to the delight of her family and friends. Kaleigh's enthusiasm for the holidays, especially Christmas, was contagious, and she took great pleasure in the simple joys of life, such as walks, parties, and trips to the library.
A true social butterfly, Kaleigh cherished the time she spent with her beloved family. She is survived by her mother Kristin (Jim) Shirey, her father Scott Bugbee, her sister Chelsea VanValkenburg, her brother Karson Shirey, and her adored nieces Halianna and Isla. Her grandparents Harold & Carol Redman and Diane Shirey, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins, will also hold her memory dear. Kaleigh's legacy of laughter and love will live on through the stories and memories shared by her family.
Kaleigh was preceded in death by her grandparents Dean Bugbee and Eilene Mund, as well as her great-grandparents Harold & Alberta Redman, Esther & Sylvester Smith, and Alice & Vernon Cronk. Her caregiver Jeanne Wood, who provided much love and support, also preceded her in passing.
The family extends a special thank you to caregivers Nicole Harrison, Susan Best, and the entire team who cared for Kaleigh with such dedication and compassion. Their unwavering support and care played a significant role in Kaleigh's life, allowing her to live each day to the fullest.
Kaleigh's ability to make people laugh and her unwavering positive outlook will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her spirit, a beacon of light in the lives of many, will continue to inspire those she has left behind.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Mills Funeral Home, Peters & Murray Chapel, Grand Ledge. A Celebration of Life will be on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 1:00 pm with visitation beginning at Noon. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to Children's Miracle Network, 205 West 700 South, Salt Lake City, Utah 84101 in loving memory of Kaleigh Bugbee.
