Wendy Caster Obituary
Wendy was a 1962 graduate of Grand Ledge High School. She went on to earn her associate's degree from Lansing Community College and furthered her studies at Central Michigan University. Her career included various positions, but she often reminisced that her time as a purchaser for Roberts Sinto Corp. was her favorite.
Wendy's interests and hobbies painted the picture of a life well-lived. She was an exceptional cook and an avid herb gardener. Wendy's green thumb brought beauty and flavor to both her garden and table. Her adventurous spirit found joy in travel, with Colorado's majestic mountains and Maine's rugged coastline holding special places in her heart. Camping and fishing trips were among her most treasured adventures, providing countless stories and laughter. Wendy's creativity shone through in her crafting, where she brought imagination and care to each project. Her generosity and selflessness is something her family will always hold dear.
Wendy survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Tom Caster, and together they raised two sons, Robert L. Caster and Michael T. (Heather) Caster. She delighted in the joy of her grandchildren, Celina, Chyanna, Caitlin, and Michaela, and often said they were the lights of her life. Wendy's loving presence will also be deeply missed by her siblings, Bonnie (David) Layle, Kris (Jim) Crooks, and Craig Sherman, as well as her many nieces and nephews. Wendy is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and LaDonna Sherman, and her granddaughter Lauren Caster.
Services will be held at Mills Funeral Home Peters & Murray Chapel on Saturday February 7, 2026, at 12:00 pm with a visitation the hour prior. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made in memory of Wendy Caster to Sleep In Heavenly Peace. For online condolences please visit www.millsfuneral.com
