Kandie T. Darmody (nee Faber), age 66 years of Kewaskum, (formerly lived in Antigo, Wisconsin and Edmond, Oklahoma and Prior Lake, Minnesota), was called home to be with the Lord our Savior on September 26, 2025, at Kathy’s Hospice in West Bend, WI surrounded by her immediate family.
Kandie was born on June 22, 1959, in West Bend, WI to Gerald Faber and L. Carol Faber (nee Laufer). Kandie was united in marriage to Kim E. Darmody on June 25, 1977, at Trinity Lutheran Church in West Bend, WI.
Kandie loved doing anything that allowed her to be outside. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of flowers, landscape arrangements, and other yard work. She loved decorating and spent most of her sales career working for Home Interiors & Co. Kandie enjoyed traveling and specifically enjoyed locations that had beaches. Kandie also had a soft spot for pets and would often times sneak outside dogs into the house whenever Kim wasn’t home. Kandie enjoyed anything that involved arts and crafts and for the past few years was able to complete diamond art or paint by number pictures.
Those Kandie leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband of 48 years, Kim Darmody; children, Amanda Winship (husband Jared Winship), Casey Kunard (husband Todd Kunard), Matthew Darmody (wife Angie Darmody) and Witney Lett (husband Eddie Lett); grandchildren, Tyler Winship, Austin Winship, Courtney Winship, Brooklyn Darmody, Presley Lett, and Parker Lett; father, Gerald Faber; siblings, Kerry Faber (wife Mary Faber), Brian Faber (wife Nancy Faber), and Penny Albers (husband LaMont Albers);
She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Kandie was preceded in death by her mother, L. Carol Faber.
VISITATION: Kandie’s family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, October 2nd, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. until 12:45 P.M. at Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service – 1315 W Washington St. – West Bend, WI 53095.
FUNERAL SERVICE: A Funeral Service in remembrance of Kandie will take place at 1:00 P.M. immediately following visitation with officiating. The service was livestreamed, and the recording can be viewed at: https://vimeo.com/event/5418495.
GRAVESIDE SERVICE: A graveside service and burial will be at Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend immediately following the funeral service.
AFTERNOON LUNCH: A late afternoon lunch will be provided following the graveside service at Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home.
Memorials in Kandie’s name can be directed to Kim Darmody. Also, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Glioblastoma Research Organization @ gbmresearch.org.
The family would like to thank Kandie’s doctors, nurses, and staff at Kathy Hospice for their care and compassion the past few weeks. The family would also like to thank the numerous surgeons, nurses, PT and OT staff that have cared for Kandie during her cancer treatments the past 5.5 years.
