Kanesha S. Pierce-Kellam was born January 22nd, 1975 to mother, Lelia Irene Pierce and father, David Kellam. She peacefully went home to be with our Lord and Savior on March 23rd, 2025.
Kanesha received her education in the Brandywine School District. She was exceptionally gifted in all her studies, with her favorite subject being math. During her amazing life she worked hard in different areas of sales. She was a leader, team player, very compassionate and driven. Her remarkable performance at work was one of the few reasons customers came back to the establishment. Her drive for success led her to accomplish the title as sales consultant.
The one thing that stood true throughout her tremendous life was the love and dedication she had to her family. She took great pride in her many roles as a daughter, sister, mother, aunt, great-aunt, cousin, and her most notable and cherished role as a grandmother. Kanesha was truly one of a kind. She would light the world with her gorgeous smile and beautiful, outgoing personality. Kanesha was a loving and caring individual who would not hesitate to offer help to those in need no matter what and was always a loyal and loving friend. She always knew the right things to say that would bring anyone through any storm.
Kanesha found joy and happiness in life. You could always count on her for a good time whether it was filling a room with laughter with one of her many jokes, or through music to which she would sing and dance all around and at any given moment. She enjoyed many hobbies in life, such as traveling, reading and crossword puzzles to name a few. She will always be remembered for the warmth of her love that she has left us.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Berkley & Ida-Norton Pierce; grandmother, Cordia E. Kellam; uncles, Larry & Alden Pierce; aunts, Audrey Pierce-Dewitt & Helen Pierce-Ellerbee; and best friend, Gracealynn Harris.
She leaves her precious memories to her mother, Lelia Irene Pierce; father, David Kellam (Thelma); sister, Michelle Futch (Shawn Sr.); children, Andrea Grinnage, Tamara and Lelia Minter; niece, Tashe Christie; grandchildren, Skylar, Lyvell, Yah'Bari, Marcus Jr, Dakeem & Asahn; great-niece, Ny'Avah Jackson; aunts, Edna Lewis (Oscar), Jean Walker (Eugene), & Ila Smith; uncle, Devon Pierce (Patricia); special cousins, special friends as well as two bonus sons, Donovan & Davian Minter; and a host of family and friends.
