Karen Marie Bailey, 77, of Montross, Virginia, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025. She was born on July 20, 1948, to the late William and Mary Russ.

Karen worked for a time as a secretary and was known for her dedication and warm spirit. Above all else, she cherished her family. Her greatest joys in life were her beloved husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were the center of her world. She also held deep love for her parents, grandmother, and siblings, valuing family bonds above all.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Gary Edward Bailey Sr.; her son, Gary Bailey Jr. of Greenbackville, Virginia; her daughter, Brenda Schneider (Robert) of Mechanicsville, Maryland; her brothers, Richard Russ (Debbie) of Sebastian, Florida, and Kevin Russ of Dunkirk, Maryland; and her sisters, and Roseanna Anderson (Paul) of Saint Augustine, Florida. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Heather Hogan (Edward) and William Bursey (Joanna) as well as her six great-grandchildren: Hunter Childers; Gabriel Bursey; Cody Doss; Taylor Doss; Madilyn Hogan and Edward Hogan Jr.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Bobby Russ, her sister-in-law, Sharon Russ and her sister Christine GaNun.

Services will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Brinsfield Funeral Home, located at 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, Maryland. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Charles Memorial Gardens, 26325 Point Lookout Road, Leonardtown, Maryland.

Karen will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family.
