Karen Baugh

Karen Baugh, 70 years old, passed away on November 21, 2025, in her sleep at home in Arvada, Colorado where she had moved to be close to her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 6th at the chapel of Moores Funeral Home with Justin Montgonery officiating. Burial will follow at Scenic Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Karen was born in Athens, GA on August 30, 1955, to Lucille Barrett Baugh and George Marion Hyde. She was previously married to David Prosser and has two daughters, Cristy Chester (Bill son-in-law) and Cynda Prosser. She has four grandchildren Peyton, Erica, Katherine, and Ashley along with several great grandchildren.
Karen has two surviving siblings: Bonnie Baugh Parry and Greg Baugh, as well as two precious surviving sisters-in-law Barbara Gleeson and Donna Baugh and two loving brothers-in-law Mark Montgomery and Christopher Parry; and preceded in death by sister Jeanna Montgomery and brother Bill Baugh. She was also blessed with numerous nieces and nephews, Jessica Elliott, Justin Montgomery, Nathan Baugh, Nicolas Baugh, Nolan Baugh, Wendy Baugh, Leslie Baugh, and Rachel DeGiorgio; all of whom adored her and hold their own lifetime of memories. In addition to family, Karen was also blessed with those that became family and who loved and cared for her so dearly, Brett Zank and Michelle Newberry.
Karen was full of life, enjoyed being with people and had the most natural ability to make anyone laugh. Her family was important to her. She loved her Bible and used scripture to comfort anyone in need. She loved all animals, doing artwork and painting for her grandchildren and drinking coffee! Though we are deeply saddened by her unexpected passing, we are all assured there was no other more deserving to be resting in the arms of Jesus.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 10AM – 11AM at Moores Funeral Home and will also be receiving friends after the service at 1515 Parker Springs Church Rd. McIntyre 31054.
