Karen Anderson Brauer, originally from Tucson, Arizona, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2026. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dennis Brauer, with whom she shared 42 wonderful years of marriage.

Karen lived a full and meaningful life, marked by dedication to her work, love for her family and friends, and generous spirit. She began her career at Olin Brass, and later worked at the Yale University School of Medicine before founding her own computer consulting company. Karen and Dennis later retired in Tucson, Arizona, where they created a warm and welcoming home and built many lasting friendships. In recent years, Karen moved to Mooresville, Indiana, to be closer to her brothers and their families, the Andersons.

Karen had a special love for her dogs, who were constant companions and a great source of joy. She was also known as a wonderful hostess, warmly welcoming family and friends to Tucson often and creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and thoughtful conversation.

Karen was a member of First United Methodist Church and was actively involved in P.E.O. in Tucson, where she formed many meaningful and lasting friendships.

Along with her husband she is preceded in death by her parents, Worden and Vera (Dorr) Anderson; and brother, Rex Anderson.

Karen is survived by her brother, Paul (Carolyn) Anderson of Mooresville, IN; sister-in-law, Patti Anderson of New Castle, IN ; nephews and nieces, Robin (Carol) Anderson, Lynne (Denny) Hadley, David (Carrie) Anderson, John (Julia) Anderson, and Erin (Iran) Sterling. She will be lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate to know her.

There will be no public services. She will be laid to rest at Holy Hope Cemetery in Tucson, Arizona.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville, Indiana.
