Karen Chubbuck Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Easton on Dec. 3, 2024.
Karen (Milne) Chubbuck, age 75, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2024, in Matfield Woods, West Bridgewater, Massachusetts.
Born on February 17, 1949, in Brockton, she was the beloved daughter of the late Everett and Shirley Hayward. Karen is survived by her devoted husband, David Chubbuck, her cherished brother, Everett Hayward of Milton, and her loving children: daughter Michelle Milne of Buzzards Bay, son William and daughter-in-law Paula Milne of East Bridgewater, and step-son Dominique and daughter-in-law Patricia Lachance of Bridgewater. She was a proud grandmother to Steve Willis, Miranda Clay, William Milne Jr., Nick, and Taylor Lachance, and a great-grandmother to Dylan Willis. She was predeceased by her brother, Larry Hayward of Orleans.
In 1985, Karen moved to West Bridgewater, where she embraced her passion for animals by purchasing "the farm," home to her beloved pets Tiffany, Beefer, and JackE, and a variety of livestock. Her career with the Social Security Administration was marked by her dedication to assisting those with disabilities, a reflection of her generous spirit and commitment to helping others. Affectionately known as "Ma," "Mimi," or "Yaya," Karen was the heart of her family, always ready with a warm meal and a welcoming home.
She cherished family gatherings, holidays, and summers at the family cottage in Briarwood Beach, Wareham. Her love for horse shows, cookouts, and cruises brought joy to her life and those around her. Karen's legacy of love and care will be fondly remembered by her family, favorite cousins, and lifelong "bestie" friends.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Brockton VNA for their compassionate care. Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
