Karen Lynn Click

Karen Lynn Click passed away peacefully at home on November 1, 2025 after a courageous battle with Glioblastoma, brain cancer. She was 67 years old. Karen was born in Lincoln Park to Lloyd and Kathleen "Kapi" Coleman Click.
Karen is survived by her husband, Dennis Callan and her daughter Gabrielle Seguin-Dismukes (Darian), brother Lester Francis Click (Susan), her sister in law, Anne Click (Patrick), nephews Jeffery (Jennifer) and Ryan Click (Jessica) and niece, Hillary Harmon (Derek). Her step-children, Dr. Megan Callan (Scott Hall), Michael Callan and Emily Callan.
A graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy Dental School, Karen earned her Certificate in Dental Hygiene in 1985 and her Bachelor of Science, Summa Cum Laude, in 1993. She worked for many years with Banson & Hiegel DDS in Sterling Heights, where she valued the relationships she built with patients and coworkers.
In retirement, Karen enjoyed wintering and sunshine in Sarasota, finding new friendships in the community. Bicycling was a shared hobby and the two were seen traveling on the back roads of west Texas while marveling at the Milky Way in the skies over the Rio Grande River; riding the Katy trail in Missouri; climbing hills of the Texas Hill Country and Big Bend National Park and many trails in her beloved Michigan.
Karen's travels took her around the world. Destinations included New Zealand to visit Gabrielle and elsewhere. Also Italy (Pompeii), Scotland, Iceland, and Ireland. She and Gabrielle traveled with family to various resorts around the country. With Dennis, she climbed the Kittatinny Mountains near the Delaware Water Gap to visit Sunfish Pond on the Appalachian Trail, hiked Zion and Bryce National Parks (with Emily), visited Manhattan, Chicago, New Orleans, San Antonio, Carlsbad Caverns, and others.
Visitation at the Sawyer-Fuller Funeral Home 2125 Twelve Mile Road in Berkley, Saturday, November 8th from 10:30 am until the time of service at 11:30 am. A celebration of Life luncheon for friends and loved ones will follow after the service.
A private internment service will be held at Roseland Park Cemetery at a later date.
