Samir A. Khoury, a cherished father, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025, in Dearborn, Michigan, at the age of 81. Born on October 29, 1944, in Palestine, Samir's journey was one marked by resilience, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to his family and community.
Samir's life was a testament to his strength and adaptability. He navigated the complexities of life with a quiet dignity and a gentle smile that never failed to light up a room. His formative years in Palestine instilled in him a deep appreciation for his heritage, which he carried with him throughout his life, enriching the lives of those around him with stories and traditions.
In Dearborn, Samir found a second home, a place where he built a life filled with love, laughter, and lasting friendships. He was a beacon of wisdom and guidance, always ready to lend an ear or offer advice. His presence was a comfort to many, and his absence will be felt deeply by the community that he loved so dearly.
Samir was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Eileen, and his parents, Adib and Mariam Khoury. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Nina Khoury, who will miss him more than words can express. His love and lessons will live on through her, a legacy of kindness and integrity.
He leaves behind a loving family, including his siblings Laila Khoury, Nadia Khoury, Nabeel Khoury, Samira (Spiro) Fasheh, Suhail (Janet) Khoury, and the late George Khoury and Suad Batarse. His sister-in-law, Ruth Khoury, and brother-in-law, Alfred Batarse, along with many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends, will remember Samir for his generosity, his unwavering support, and his ability to make each person feel uniquely seen and valued.
Samir's life was a beautiful mosaic of moments that touched the hearts of everyone he met. He was a man of faith, a pillar in his community, and a source of endless stories that brought both laughter and wisdom.
