Karen Ann Confer, age 69, of Winter, Wisconsin passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at her home peacefully and surrounded by family.
She was born April 13, 1953, in Peoria, IL and was the daughter of architect Donald and nurse Charlotte (Martin) McCormack. Karen was a mother to all. She touched the lives of everyone she met and spent her life protecting those who needed it most. Karen's passion, kindness, humor, and class will be forever remembered by all who knew her. The world is dimmer without her and heaven that much brighter.
She is survived by her loving husband John Confer; daughters Annie Confer, Alexandra Confer & Vanessa Dunn; son Johnny Confer; four grandchildren; and brothers Jim & Steve McCormack.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents Donald & Charlotte; mother and father-in-law John & Marion Confer, and special canine friend Mac.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Winter, WI and a memorial and burial service in Tomahawk, WI.
