Karen Lee Flammia (nee Kilroy), 82, of Reading, MA, passed away on April 1, 2024. She was born on April 30, 1942, in Somerville, Massachusetts.

Karen was a loving mother to Michael, Robert, and David. She adored her six grandchildren, Lauren, Kiley, John, Alexandra, Nicolas, and Tess Flammia. Karen was a devoted aunt to Robert, Kristine, Brian, and Mathew Kilroy, as well as Michelle and Debra Erikson. In her professional life, Karen excelled as a banker, rising to become the Vice President of MassBank in Reading, MA.

In retirement, Karen dedicated her time to volunteering with the Boston Food Bank and Hospice care, while also enjoying her hobbies of traveling and community service. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Karen is survived by her sons, Michael Flammia (Lisa), Robert Flammia (Susan), David Flammia, and her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joeseph Kilroy, Mary Loveless, and Bill Loveless, as well as her brother, Robert Kilroy.

A remembrance services will be held on May 20th at 11am-1pm at McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main Street, Stoneham, MA 02180. A bereavement/celebration of life will take place directly after the remembrance at Bear Hill Golf Club, 2 North Street, Stoneham MA. from 1pm to 4pm. Contributions in Karen's memory can be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
