Dr. Karen Gana was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and a healer. She left this world on May 31, 2023 at age 67. She was born to Justin and Elizabeth Gana on December 14, 1955 and is survived by her sister, Justine "Tina" Slagle and brother, Justin Gana, three daughters, Natalie, Cassandra and Penelope Abram, and three precious grandchildren.
She went to Villanova University, then on to University of Louisville Medical School and received her Doctorate. She taught anatomy in higher education colleges for many years and during her time teaching at the New York Chiropractic College, she discovered Acupuncture. She decided to leave the classroom and become a practicing Licensed Acupuncturist at her own business, Your Health Acupuncture in Syracuse, NY until her recent illness.
Her family will be having a private memorial service at a later date and as a dog and cat owner and rescuer, in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a local Humane Society or the Audubon Society in her memory.
BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, Solvay, has care of arrangements.
