Carol Ann Harper, 71, of Syracuse, NY, passed away on Thursday September 18th at Loretto Health & Rehabilitation. Carol was born in San Diego, California, to the late Viola (Marshall) and Dr. James Harper after he returned from serving in Korea. She spent her formative years in Easton, PA, where she graduated from Easton Area High School. She went on to earn her undergraduate degree from Ithaca College. Carol was a competitive swimmer in her youth and a passionate skier, later becoming an instructor at Big Boulder ski area. In her career as a banquet manager she helped countless families bring their dream events to life. Her deep love for helping others lives on through her son, Lawrence, and granddaughter, Leonie. Carol's warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew her. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and found her greatest joy in time spent with family. Carol was predeceased by her brother, Jim, in 2024 and sister, Lynn, in 2025. Surviving are her son, Lawrence (Kaitlyn), of Allentown, PA; granddaughter, Leonie; sister, Barbara, of Syracuse, NY; and nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Loretto Health & Rehabilitation for their loving and attentive care over the past three years. A Private Memorial service will be held at a later date.
