Karen Faye Kemp, a compassionate soul known for her unwavering love and dedication to her family, peacefully passed away on October 31, 2023, at the age of 80. Born on October 3, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan, Karen was the cherished daughter of Elwin and Virginia Kelley.
Karen's greatest joy in life was her family. As a devoted wife to her beloved husband Nathan, their journey together was filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Their children, Kelley and Bryan Kemp, were the center of Karen's world. She epitomized the essence of motherhood, tenderly guiding and nurturing her children throughout their lives.
Karen had a deep appreciation for family trips, creating lasting bonds and unforgettable adventures. Karen was always eager to create precious moments of togetherness with friends and family.
In addition to her dedication to her family, Karen was an active member of the Lions Club, joining in 1985. Her philanthropic nature and genuine care for others led her to be actively involved in various charitable endeavors. Karen effortlessly connected with people from all walks of life, leaving a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know her.
Karen Faye Kemp's legacy will be remembered by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. Her compassionate spirit, selflessness, and unconditional love will continue to inspire and guide us. Though her presence will be deeply missed, her memory will forever live on.
Beloved mother of Kelley Kemp and Bryan Kemp; cherished sister of Charlene Kelley. Karen is also survived by many loving family and friends.
Karen is preceded in passing by her beloved husband Nathan Kemp, sister Lois Schenburn, and parents Elwin and Virginia Kelley.
A memorial mass will be held at St. Isidore Catholic Church on Thursday, November 16. Instate, or gathering time, 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Karen will be laid to rest at Clinton Grove Cemetery in Mount Clemens.
The family requests no flowers, and donations instead to be made to Bryan Kemp.
