Karen Wilson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Auble-Gillman Funeral Home - Rittman on Mar. 30, 2026.
Karen S. (Musser) Wilson, the Love of Mr. Bill's life, became an Angel, flying home to Jesus on the morning of March 26, 2026. She was born March 28, 1941, to the late parents Irving and Cleo (Jacobs) Musser.

She is predeceased by her sister Linda Musser, her in-laws John and Violet (Simpson) Wilson, and sister-in-law Darlene (Wilson) Napier.

Karen graduated from Doylestown High School in 1959, with school age years divided between Arizona and Ohio.

She met her husband of 66 years, Kenneth W. Wilson, at the old L & K restaurant outside of Rittman. Theirs was a story for the Ages. Mr. Bill, (as Karen affectionately called her husband), told his uncle, "I'm going to marry that waitress." And he did. They became One on June 13th, 1959.

Full of Love, Karen always wanted a large family. Together they had four children, Kyle Wilson, Kenneth Wilson husband to Ann Marie (Alleman), Kemp Wilson husband to Mary (Murphy), and Karnel (Wilson) Fechko, companion to Kevin Oleksiak. They also raised her niece Karen (Musser) Skotnicki, and mentored niece Lynn Musser. She adored her nephews and their families as well. Karen and Mr. Bill joyfully welcomed grandchildren Corinne Wilson (Nicholas Tomes), Ciara (Fechko) Cain (Derick Cain), Justine Fechko-Sheehan (Vincent Sheehan), Kayla (Wilson) Marty (Corey Marty), Dillon Wilson (Emily nee Bostwick Wilson), Clayton Fechko (Sarah nee Ross Fechko), K. Ethan Wilson, and great grandchildren Emmett, Everett, Kaladin, Quinn, Kylan, Colter, Drew, and Brecklynn.

She proudly stayed home raising her family. As a homemaker she enjoyed cooking, sewing, canning, and gardening. She took great pleasure in teaching and leading her family by example. When time permitted, she cooked during the summer months, for Camp Paradise in Medina, and drove a school bus for Cloverleaf and Medina City School Districts.

Karen and Bill shared a love of traveling and the great southwest, collecting art and keepsakes along the way. Being a wonderful cook enabled her to cook for hunting camps in New Mexico. She enjoyed creating memories fishing at Lake Powell and on Lake Erie.

Karen was happiest cooking and planning family gatherings. She was generous with her time and talents, creating artwork for family and friends.

Karen nurtured friendships all over the country and never knew a stranger.

No services are planned. There will be a Celebration of Life, June 28th, 2026. Details

to follow.
