1959 - 2024
Karen Lynn Wylie was born May 8, 1959 and passed away into eternal life on August 21, 2024. She was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico to her parents Claude B Wylie Jr. and Winifred J Wylie. She graduated from El Dorado High School and went to work for her father's construction company where she met her life-long companion, Fred Arellin. They were inseparable from the start and settled in Peralta, New Mexico on their own little piece of land with many animals and pets over the years. Karen made a home that was fun and bright where she loved cooking and entertaining for friends and family. She was a wonderful daughter, soulmate, sister, aunt and loyal friend. People were her priority. Being around her family, the Arellin family, and her adopted family with her "sister" Molly Trujillo and Steve Trujillo was all she needed to be happy. The Trujillo family considered her their own as the children and grandchildren called her their other Grandma. She also spent a lot of time with her longtime friend and neighbor Mary Kirkendoll over the years. Karen enjoyed the simple things in life and that was bright colors, good music, her favorite shows and laughing with others. Among the angels in white she may stand out in teal and purple but she wouldn't have it any other way. Karen is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, father and mother-in-law, and step-dad; Joseph Cardinale. She is survived by her life-long companion; Fred Arellin, sister; Ginger Moore (Mike Moore), niece; Alyssa Parrado (Chris Parrado), great nephew and niece; Asher and Avery Parrado, step-mom; Julie Wylie, and sister-in-law; Linda Arellin. Karen passed in her beautiful home with Fred right by her side and her own angel on earth, Pam, who was faithfully by her side for the past three years. Karen left this world with many people who truly loved her as well as loved ones on the other side who were eagerly waiting for her to come home. Her smile and laugh were so infectious to all around her and she will be missed dearly. Please sign Karen's online tribute at www.romerofuneralhomenm.com Romero Funeral Home, 609 N.
