With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to Kari Dallmann, who left this world on March 20th, 2025. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will forever echo in the lives of all who knew her. A celebration of Kari's life will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the Barnesville Event Center (101 2nd St SE, Barnesville, MN) at 2:00 pm with a time of visitation starting at 1:00 pm.
Kari Christine Dallmann was born on August 4th, 1985, in Rock Springs, Wyoming, to Steve Dallmann and Wanda Arre. In 1991, Kari moved to Minnesota, where she began to spread her creative energy and love of music. From a young age, Kari's life was filled with songs and artistic expression, playing piano, guitar, and ukulele while singing her written songs. If it was pink, made sound, and sparkling, Kari was drawn to it- always radiating positivity and light.
Kari graduated from Moorhead High School in 2004 and went on to pursue a career in cosmetology graduating from Josef's School of Hair Design in 2007. She began her career at Great Clips before switching gears to become a school para, where she found fulfillment working with children - a cause close to her heart.
As a vital member of the Fargo music scene, Kari shared her incredible voice and musical talents with the community. She co-founded the acoustic duo, Fancy That, and captivated audiences with her performances, leaving an indelible mark on the city and beyond.
Kari's life was one of adventure, kindness, and the unspoken connection she shared with everyone she met. Though her time with us was too brief, her spirit remains alive in the hearts of all those whose lives she touched.
Kari is survived by her parents, Steve Dallmann (Kindra Larsen) and Wanda Arre; her brothers: Christopher Lewton of Dickinson, ND, Preston Lewton of Bismarck, ND, Kody Susa of Scranton, ND, and Jackson Schultz of Fargo, ND; lifelong friend and roommate, Beth Garland; and her beloved "fella," Will Crawford, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Kari is preceded in death by her grandfather Shelby Dallmann, grandmother Joy Krumnacker, grandfather Buddy Arre, brother Isaac Schultz, and aunt Tammy Arre.
Kari's legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
Below this obituary you will find links to a tribute slideshow video and a recording of the Fancy That song "Home" featuring Kari Dallmann and Beth Garland.
