Marilyn Carol Dallmann

Marilyn Carol Dallmann, the daughter of Chet and Myrtle (Olson) Torreson, was born on October 25, 1931, in Wallingford, Iowa. She passed away on February 14, 2026, at her home in Estherville at the age of 94 years.

Marilyn graduated from Estherville High School before attending St. Olaf and Augustana. She taught in Terril and Superior and was a substitute teacher for over 30 years.

She married Duane Dallmann on May 25, 1952. The couple made their home in rural Estherville where they raised their family and farmed.

Marilyn was a member of the Wallingford Lutheran Church, the ladies aid, Lake Shore Country Club, and the Many Voices Choir. In her free time, she enjoyed swimming and gardening.

She is survived by her children, Greg Dallmann, Wallingford, Gary Dallmann, Detroit Lakes, MN, and Jill (David) White, Moore, OK; 6 grandchildren, Samantha (Jeff Kidmann) McClellan, Steven (JessLynn) Dallmann, Cheyenne Dallmann, Caitlyn Dallmann, John David (Tara) White, and Colton White; several great-grandchildren; a brother, Ralph (Lois) Torreson, Estherville; and a sister, Virginia (Hugh) Thompson, Spirit Lake; sister-in-law, Shirley Custer; as well as many other extended family and friends.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Duane Dallmann, parents, Chet and Myrtle (Olson) Torreson, and a daughter-in-law, Connie Olson.
