Kari Lynn Kasprzak, 48, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, in Stevensville, Michigan, surrounded by her loving family.

Kari was born on January 22, 1977 in St. Joseph, Michigan, and chosen by Billy Joe Kasprzak and Hazel (Carpenter) Absher.

Left to cherish the memory of Kari are her parents, Billy Joe (Denise) Kasprzak and Hazel (Glen) Absher; sisters, Kathleen (Steven) Russo, Kim Kasprzak, and Kelly (Vince) Morcombe; maternal grandmother, Kathleen Carptener; nephews, Dean and Justin Russo, and her caretaker who became part of the family through pure love, Jennifer Williams.

Kari was a joyful and loving person who brought happiness to everyone she met. Her infectious smile and childlike love for life left a lasting impression on those around her. She loved people and never hesitated to share a big smile for the camera. Kari's primary language was happiness and was described as "the pure joy of the Lord".

Kari was an alumnus of Blossomland Learning Center, where she acquired life skills and formed many friendships. She was the mascot of the Moose softball team in Niles, Michigan, and loved to participate in sideline cheer with the Brandywine Bobcat Cheerleaders.

Kari enjoyed many activities that reflected her vibrant personality. She loved drawing and coloring, taking pride in her creativity and imagination. She also enjoyed going to ballgames, ice skating, and staying active, always eager to participate and have fun. Above all, Kari loved being around people. She thrived on companionship and connection, and her happiness grew when shared with others. Kari's bright spirit, kindness, and love for life will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Kari will be laid to rest at Smith's Chapel at a later date, surrounded by family who have passed before her.
