Kari Sue Kramer
January 7, 1962 – August 17, 2025
Kari Sue Kramer, age 63, of Laporte, MN, passed away on August 17, 2025, surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Kari was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt whose life was marked by deep faith, boundless love, generosity, and an unyielding spirit. She will be remembered for her tenacity, her warmth, and her unwavering fight to live each day fully.
Born on January 7, 1962, in Minneapolis, MN, to Kenneth and Carol Nordin, Kari grew up with a heart for people and a passion for life. She grew up attending Coon Rapids Evangelical Free Church, where she first learned to love God. She enjoyed going to youth group and Camp Jim, experiences that shaped her faith and values-ones she instilled in her own children.
Kari really loved her six children. In her younger years, she sewed, cooked, and worked with the youth group. As her children grew, she stayed close through phone conversations, encouraging texts, and thoughtful gifts, always finding ways to pour her love into them. She was also very entrepreneurial-selling on eBay and Amazon, running toy sales, and setting up booths at flea markets-all with the heart of providing for her family and blessing them with special gifts. Kari demonstrated remarkable resilience, running her business with a voice-controlled computer despite not having the use of her arms and legs. She learned to do it all on her own, coming up with creative solutions to every challenge.
For years, she was a voice for the deaf community as a sign language interpreter, translating not only words but emotions and thoughts. Away from her professional calling, she found a deep and simple happiness in her family, the animals on her farm, and the enduring beauty of the outdoors. Above all, Kari's faith in God was the anchor of her life. She trusted in the Lord as her Healer until her final breath.
Kari is survived by her loving husband, Paul Kramer; her children, Jessie Hendricks, Miranda Gust, Karissa (Andrew) Klaers, Jordan (Hayden) Tawfeek, Elli Kramer, and Daisy Kramer; and her grandchildren, Matthew, Makayla, and Malachi Hendricks; Isabella (Sam) Girtz; Sophia Gust; Audrina and Jonah Rooney; Gregory and Alora Klaers; and Bruin Tawfeek. She was also blessed to be a great-grandmother to Rome Girtz.
She is further survived by her siblings, Kimberley (Darryl) Gunther, Eugene Nordin, Lori (Timothy) Romer, and Julie (Ronald) Erdahl. Kari was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Carol Nordin.
Kari's legacy of faith, love, perseverance, and creativity in overcoming obstacles will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
