Memories of Karin's life will be cherished by her grandsons Jordan Johnson, Jalen Johnson and Kaden Johnson; siblings, Wayne Thompson, Vanessa (Johnny) Jones, her twin Keith Dunlap, Tara (Ronald) Jordan, Roberta Dunlap of Nashville TN; god daughter Nea Reese, most devoted friends Ruby Darby, Geri Smith and Lisa Keesee; along with a host of cousins, other relatives and friends

I had her for my 2nd grade teacher in 09-10, I´m saddened to see she´s no longer with us. She was a great woman and a great teacher. RIP Ms.Dunlap

I was one of Ms. Dunlap's second grade students during the 2015-2016 school year. Her and I knew each other quite well since I was one of the more "troubled" kids. At first I didn't like her and thought she was mean. At the end of the school year I think this was right before her retirement we had a really good heart to heart and I realized that she only wanted the best for me. Fastforward to about September of the following school year I was in Ms. Quarells class I think that was her name, but on this day Ms. Dunlap walked into the class room and most of the kids jumped up and ran to her. I didn't. I was scared that she maybe wasn't fond of me due to my behavior the previous year. Then she said something that I didn't expect, "This is all nice but I came here for you" while looking at me. I walked up to her and she was telling me how she cannot wait to see me do great things in the future. I am now a senior in high school getting prepared for my college journey and open a new chapter in my life. I only found out of her passing quite recently because I was laying in bed thinking about her and thought to google her. Thank you Ms. Dunlap for the compounding impact you have had on me and to her family and loved ones God bless on that day Heaven gained a bright beautiful light.

I have fond memories of teaching with Karin at Whitsitt Elementary.
