Karl E. Giguere

Karl E. Giguere of Scituate, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2024. Born September 18, 1972 to Wallace and Muriel (Lewburg) Giguere, Karl graduated from North Smithfield High School and later went on to NE Tech for various courses and machinist certification.
Karl was a dedicated meat-cutter and manager for Stop & Shop for 25 years before joining Schneider Electric and Motion Industries as a machinist.
Karl and Robin (Roe) were married on March 8th 1997 and spent everyday grounded in their unwavering love for one another. Being the father of Erik and Seth was one of Karl's proudest joys. He was also proud to be a loving father figure to James Hammar. Together, they enjoyed many family vacations, video games, movie nights, Legos and other model building. Karl was a huge Patriots fan and had a fierce interest in science fiction and historical mysteries.
He is survived by his sisters Linda Cimini and her husband Joseph of Fairfield, Ohio, Susane Giguere of Cumberland, Rhode Island, and Michelle Jergensen and her husband Steven of Bethlehem, New Hampshire. He cherished his relationship with his nephew Joseph "Joey" Cimini, and loved his niece Jodie and nephew Nicholas deeply.
Karl made a true mark in the hearts of all that came to know him. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life; nature hikes, gardening, landscaping, alternative music and was a beer and wine enthusiast who collected baseball hats and shot glasses. In addition to his many friends and work family that respected and loved him, Karl's chosen small circle of friends and family would always appreciate the humor of his well chosen t-shirts, "say it like it is" remarks, biting wit, and comical reactions.
Karl was comforted and surrounded by love during his hard fought battle over the last 13 months by his devoted and loving wife Robin, his sons, his sister Linda and countless friends and family.
Visitation will be held on Wedndesday, February 28 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick. In lieu of flowers, donations in Karl's memory may be made to: American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Blvd, Suite 3004 Warwick, RI 02886.
