Karl Alan Lowry, 64, of Greenville Texas, went home to be with the Lord on July 9, 2025, at his home in Greenville Texas. Funeral services will be held on July 18, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Ridgecrest Baptist Church with Pastor Nick Dorsey and Dr. David Stubblefield officiating. Burial will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday July 17, 2025 from 6:00PM - 8:00PM at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Karl was born February 2, 1961, in Dallas Texas to Amos and Fayrene Lowry. He had an adventurous spirit, and nothing was ever too challenging for him. Karl grew up in Greenville and married his high school sweetheart, Ellen Hendricks Lowry. They celebrated 43 years of marriage on January 2nd. Karl had an outstanding career as a software engineer for 36 years at E-Systems, Raython and L3. He had countless friendships throughout his career and was a strong leader. Karl was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and served in numerous ways; teaching 2nd grade Sunday school, the security team, the sound and video team, serving in Royal Ambassadors and countless others. He instilled the importance of the gospel to his family and lead them in a loving, God fearing way.
Karl is survived by his wife, Ellen Hendricks Lowry; sons, James Lowry and wife Courtney; Michael Lowry and wife Caite; grandchildren, Logan and Lainey Lowry and Rustin Lowry; Father Amos Lowry; Siblings, Brenda Morris and husband Rick of Campbell, Kathy Sorrells of Greenville.
He is preceded in death by his mother Fayrene Phillips Lowry.
Pallbearers will be James Lowry, Michael Lowry, Earl Wilson, Jimmy Shelburne, Dale Money and Jim Voss.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Kerry Clark.

I worked with Karl for many years. He was a great co-worker and later boss. I could always count on Karl to have my back. He was a good man that will be truly missed.
