Karla Elaine Peppers

Karla Elaine Peppers, 68, of Alderson, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2026 at McAlester Regional Health Center. The family will welcome friends for visitation on Wednesday, February 11 from 6:00 to 7:00 at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 12, at 11:00 a.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in Hartshorne, with Kenny Morrow officiating. Burial will follow at Gowen-Cambria Cemetery.

Karla Peppers was born on November 7, 1957 in Wichita, Kansas to Dale and Virginia (Anderson) Cole. The family moved to Gowen where Karla grew up. She graduated from Wilburton High School. She married Clem Peppers on April 2, 1982, and they have lived in Alderson most of their married life. Karla had worked as a meat-wrapper at Humpty Dumpty, Safeway, Homeland, and Cash Savers. She was also involved in the Alderson Volunteer Fire Department. Her free-time enjoyment was going to the casino, taking care of her dogs, and especially spending time with the grandkids.

Karla is survived by her husband, Clem Peppers; her children, Diana Holland and Chris, Melissa White and Rena, and Danny Scott, Jr.; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; a brother, Stacey Cole; sisters, Retha Wilson and Ramona Suter; and sisters-in-law, Linda Camp and Tonya Cole; and a special friend, Linda Kinkaid.
