Karla Kay (Owens) Wright, born January 20, 1960, in Laramie, WY. She lived and graduated from school in Rawlins, WY. Karla met the love of her life, Keith, in the spring of 1978, and they were married in the fall of the same year. They had two children, Tim and Jennifer.
She worked in real estate insurance and for the last 15 years in the family business, K’s Trailer”. She loved camping, fishing and hunting. She loved cats and had them her whole life.
Karla recently retired and was excited to travel, spend time with her grandkids and was excited to become a great grandma in June. She was an avid supporter of the Laramie County Community College Rodeo team.
She is survived by her husband, Keith Wright; brother, Rick Owens of Wheatland; son, Tim (April) Wright; daughter, Jennifer (Jay) Wharton; grandchildren, Johnny Johnston, Chloe Wright, Katie Wright and Caleb Wright, Sam (Eleccia) Wharton, London Wharton and Jace Wharton; and her beloved cats, Ringo and Speckles.
Karla is preceded in death by her parents, Dick and Janice Owens; and infant brother, Rodney.
In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome donations to Laramie County Community College Rodeo Team, attention to Dean Finnerty.
Karla’s Viewing will be Thursday, February 19, from 11-4:00 p.m. at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. Her Funeral will be Friday, February 20th, at 10:00 a.m., also at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel, with a reception to follow at The Gathering Place.
