Brigham City-Karma Jean Francis Huff, 93, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Karma was born on July 6, 1932, in Lake Shore, Utah, the daughter of Wendell James Francis and Velma Bellows. From the moment she came into the world, she carried a special light--an effortless way of making everyone around her feel deeply seen, genuinely loved and everyone seemed to think they were her favorite person.
Following her childhood in Lake Shore where she loved working at Francis Market (her dad's store), Karma married her sweetheart, Lenard Ray Huff on May 21, 1952 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Karma seemed to have time for everyone, and brought good humor and fun into everything she did. She often couldn't finish a joke or a story because she was laughing so hard and made others laugh as well.
Karma was a wonderful homemaker and always had candy in the pantry and soda in the fridge for her grandchildren and visitors. Everyone had a place in the Huff home and Karma and Ray welcomed and provided a loving home for many people.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and had an unwavering testimony of her Savior, Jesus Christ. Karma served with her husband in the Cabanatuan Philippines Mission and the Washington D.C. and Ogden, UT Temple missions. Karma served in many other capacities in Primary, Young Women's and the Relief Society organizations.
Surviving are her children: son-in-law, Val Nessen, Howell, UT; Ray, Jr. (Ruth) Huff, Cedar City, UT; James (Edie) Huff, Tremonton, UT; Kellie (Ron) Wright, Pasco, WA; Cary (Michelle) Huff, Washington, UT; Kenny (Donna) Huff, Mesquite, NV; Joel (Christi) Huff, Brigham City, UT; Matthew (Tamara) Huff, Brigham City, UT; sister, Marlene Bowcutt, St. George UT; 35 grandchildren, 94 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Also, two special "adopted" daughters, Ella Mae Sims and Dianne Call.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L. Ray Huff; daughter, Len Ann Nessen and sister, Doris Hanks.
A viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. -10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 10, followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at the Brigham City West Stake Center, 895 North 625 West, where services will be live streamed on Karma's obituary at www.gilliesmortuary.com
The family would like to express gratitude to Karma's caregivers at Ogden Regional Hospital, Applegate Hospice and Dr. John Markeson.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Humanitarian Fund.
