Karneetha (Kert) Toler 74, was born in Bluefield WV and raised by his grandparents.
He lived in New York, NY as an adolescent and later moved to Indianapolis, IN.
He graduated from Shortridge High School.
Kert loved and played the game of basketball.
Karneetha married Madelyn Toler (nee Franklin) in 1975. One son, Kert, was born of this union.
Kert worked for US Postal Service as a letter carrier. He retired after 33 years of service earning The Million Mile Safe Driving Award. In retirement he developed the McCordsville Sports Park with his son.
Karneetha departed this life on April 29, 2024. He is survived by his wife Madelyn, son Kert, and daughters Terri Spencer and Dawn Blanchard.
He will be remembered for his gregarious nature and fun-loving spirit. The family wishes to honor his great friends Kenneth Patterson, Archie Park, and Myron Scott who never failed to be there for their friend.
The family also expresses deep gratitude to Dr. Sandeep Joshi for the extraordinary care and personal kindness always extended to Karneetha.
Services are private. A Life Celebration will be held at a later date.
