Karol Ryan Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karol Jean Ryan (Strachan), age 63 of Lansing, who passed away on December 5th, 2021, at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing Michigan.
Karol, the daughter of Jim and Jean Strachan, was born in Champaign, IL. She graduated in 1976 from Perry High School. Karol married the love of her life, Willie (William) Ryan on July 5th, 1984, in Houston Texas, and they recently celebrated 37 years of marriage. Together they had one daughter: Jessica Ryan- Lee.
Karol was a fun-loving person, who loved music and enjoyed singing. There are many fond memories of Karol and family just singing around the house. Karol had an infectious laugh that would light up the room, she was a very caring person. She loved her pets, planting flowers and spending time with her family and friends.
Karol is predeceased by her parents, brother Keith, and brother-in-law Robert Sanders. She is survived by her husband Willie, Daughter Jessica (Justin Gullett), grandsons: Taj Chaney and Avery James Lee, her sister Karen (Robert, deceased) Sanders, of Okemos, brother Kent (Karen) Strachan of Haslett, and sister in-law Deb (Keith, deceased) Strachan of Laingsburg, many nieces and nephews, and her lifelong best friends Lana Totten and Yvonne Mason.
There will be a memorial service for Karol on Wednesday December 15, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Watkins Brothers Funeral Home, Perry Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Online condolences may be sent to the family by going to www.watkinsfuneralhomes.com
