In loving memory of Karrie Lake, 57, who after a long struggle with various medical conditions, died of colon cancer on August 31, 2025, at the Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center in Rochester, New York. Karrie was born on July 19, 1968 in Rochester, New York, the daughter of Anne (Miller) Lake and Thomas Lake. She lived with her mother, Anne, who was her caregiver for the last nine years of her life.
She graduated from Fairport High School and Nazareth College. She was particularly fond of working with young children, working with them for many years, most recently at Unique Childcare Services in Rochester. She was proficient in many crafts, and she loved music. Her favorite saying was “All you need is love and a cat”.
She was predeceased by her father and her aunt Joanne (Miller) Corbelli. In addition to her Mother, Anne, she is survived by two uncles, Leo Miller and Gene Miller and his wife, Betty.
A private memorial remembrance will be held with her family. In lieu of donations or flowers, please contribute to her favorite pet facility, Lollypop Farm in Fairport, New York.
