Kathryn Legawiec Obituary
Kathy is survived by her son Stephen and his wife Megan, her beloved granddaughter Caroline, her sisters-in-law Rebecca and Donna (Phil), nephews Oleg, Ron, and Ralph (Jennifer), niece Amy (Mark), and numerous cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Stephen, her parents John and Wanda, and her brother John.
A proud graduate of Nazareth College, Kathy dedicated her career to shaping young minds as an educator in the Rochester and Brighton school districts. Her passion for teaching was matched only by her love of reading-she delighted in finishing more than 100 books each year. Kathy's interests were wide-ranging: she found joy in theater, history, tea, birdwatching, and curating her collection of clothes and shoes. She especially cherished the world of Downton Abbey, which brought her endless joy.
Kathy will be remembered for her dedication to family and her many interests. Her family will gather at a later date to celebrate her life.
