Kasey Kearney Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Duncan Funeral Home - Mars Hill on Nov. 28, 2025.
Mars Hill - Kasey Lee Kearney, 44, beloved youngest son of Frank and Marsha (Parks) Kearney went home to be with his Lord and Savior and his oldest brother, Frank Jr. on November 25, 2025. He graduated from CAHS in 1999 and attended NMCC until he was diagnosed with the neurological disorder Primarily Lateral Sclerosis.
While in high school, Kasey was on the soccer and golf teams. He was a member of FFA and went to Kansas City, where he was so happy to meet and have his picture taken with Trace Atkins. He also loved NASCAR and had photographs with many drivers. He enjoyed fishing at Number 9 Lake and spending time at their family camp.
Kasey battled PLS for over 25 years, leaving him bedridden for many of the last years of his life, but he continued to tell people he was, "just waiting for Jesus." He stayed strong and never lost his sense of humor or his faith.
Kasey is survived by his parents, and his older brother, Evan James Kearney. He was the very proud uncle of five nephews, Gage (Syd), Hardin (Cialy), Frankie (Alyssa), Joshua and Warrin Kasey Kearney. He was also very proud to be a great uncle to Kaci Shea Kearney, his namesake, and Miles Evan Kearney. He was excited to be a great Uncle again next March. He is survived by many Aunts, Uncles and cousins. He was always so thankful for his special Aunts and Uncles, Aunt Margaret and Uncle Stuart, Aunt "Ree" and Aunt Connie for the treats, cards, support, etc and "the coolest Uncle ever," Milan Evan Parks. He loved you all dearly.
Special friends, Kyle McCrum, Jason Bedell, Adrian Hitz, Adam Soucy, Mike Malone, Morgan Lunney Gallagher, Betsy Allen and Andrea Melton, and all of his many special care givers over the years.
He was predeceased by his Grandparents Jim and Louise Kearney, Evan and Alice Parks and Grampy Charlie. He was also predeceased by his oldest brother, Frank S. Kearney, Jr. in 1996, special cousins Kalen and Karter Bell, Evan and Markie Parks, and special Uncles Paul Parks and Mark Parks, and his Aunt Maxine Parks Anderson. Kasey's message to all of you would be, "meet me there." His favorite verse was Mark 11:22 Always have faith in God. Special thanks to Donnie and the hospice team, and everyone at the House of Comfort. Pastor Ken Phelps, who visited him regularly during many years of Kasey's illness. He was a comfort to Kasey and our family.
Per Kasey's request, there will a private service at a later date. Those who wish to remember Kasey in a special way may make gifts in his memory payable to the Aroostook House of Comfort at P.O. Box 867, Presque Isle, Maine 04769.
Your support to the House of Comfort is very important to our family. Thank you.
