Kateryna Prindyn

Kateryna Prindyn, 86, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving daughter and grandchildren.
Born in Ukraine to Andrew and Ana Popovich, Kateryna was one of seven children. Her childhood was spent in the beautiful countryside of Ukraine, where she was raised and learned the values of hard work, warmth, and generosity that she carried with her throughout her life.
In her early adulthood, Kateryna met her husband Yevstachey, a widower with two children, a daughter and a son. Together they welcomed two more daughters and raised a loving family of six.
Kateryna lived a full and joyful life. She had a bright, social personality and easily made friends wherever she went. Her home was always open to visitors, whom she welcomed with kindness, conversation and a warm meal.
Kateryna was also known for her iconic sense of style. Her vibrant red hair, matching lipstick, long flowing skirts and fresh pair of platform shoes, made her easily recognizable, and perfectly reflected her spirited nature.
In her later life, Kateryna moved to the United States to be closer to her daughters, Halyna and Lydia, and their families.
She is survived by her three children - Maria, Halyna, and Lydiya - along with seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, who all called her "Baba", loved her deeply, and will miss very much.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 4th from 6pm to 8pm at Bosak Funeral Home & Cremation, 453 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, CT. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 5th at 11am at St. Andrew's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 141 Sarah Wells Trail, Campbell Hall, NY. Burial will follow at Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, 141 Sarah Wells Trail, Campbell Hall, NY.
