Born on March 1, 1952 in Grand-Bois, Haiti, Leon was the first-born child of Joseph and Regina Dorissaint. He was the oldest brother to Rosette, Clotilde, Gesner, Yvon, Annastasie, Yolande and Jonas. He married Marie-Yolette Cesar on November 12, 1982. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion.
Leon was a devoted parent and is survived by his nine children: Maria, Stephanie, Leonard, Alex, Thamar, Matthew, Ruth, Ulrick and Sam and a cherished grandfather to Jison, Janelle, Josiah, Lailah and Jolene. He will be remembered for his selflessness, kindness, humor and his unwavering faith in God.
Leon worked for Sodexo in the food service industry for 25 years. He worked tirelessly and was devoted to his work and providing for his family.
The wake will be held on Friday, November 7th, from 4pm to 8pm at Bosak Funeral Home & Cremation, 453 Shippan, Avenue, Stamford, CT. A service to honor Leon's life will be held on Saturday, November 8th at 9am at the First Haitian Free Methodist Church, 433 West Main Street, Stamford, CT. The family welcomes friends and loved ones to share memories and celebrate his remarkable life.
