Katherine Mae Bender December 29, 1942 - December 8, 2022
Loving Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, and Grandmother. Kathy is survived by her husband Mike Bender, five Daughters, two sons, 14 grandkids, and 20 great-grandkids. She was preceded in death by sons, Shelby W Sparks Jr and Michael R Bender.
Kathy loved quilting and crocheting especially when making quilts for the newest addition to the family.
Mike and Kathy had a passion for gardening that everyone benefited from in the way of fresh or canned vegetables. Kathy would prepare dinner with the vegetables from the harvest. Kathy was also an avid baker, she was known for her Christmas cookies, bread, biscuits, and gravy.
When Kathy was relaxing from yelling at Mike, she watched old westerns, cooking shows, game shows, and word puzzles.
A public visitation will be held at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel on Friday, December 16, 2022 from 2pm-4pm with Memorial service starting at 4pm.
