At 4:48 pm on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, Katherine Anne Boyd, 65, entered into the more immediate presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Kathy was born to Dick and Barbara Boyd on May 24, 1960, in Forsyth County, North Carolina. She graduated from Ledford Senior High School in 1978 as a member of the Beta Club. She consistently received straight A’s all through school. She retired from the Phoenix Insurance Company after almost forty years.
Her favorite travel spots were the beach and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. She had a lifetime love of animals, especially her current fur babies, Spike and Sadie.
Kathy was a loving and caring woman. As one person stated in a Facebook post, “to know Kathy was to love Kathy.” Anyone who knew her thought she was one of the sweetest people they’d ever met.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; and brother-in-law, Randy Dale Moss. Survivors include her sisters, Tracie Boyd and Susan Boyd Moss; brother, Richard Boyd II; aunt, Linda Chambers; and numerous cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, officiated by Rev. Zach Dease. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
