Katherine Alice Brunson, 91, passed peacefully from this life on Friday, December 5, 2025. She was born on October 27, 1934, to John E. Grimes and Laudy (Everett) Grimes.
After graduating from high school, Katherine married the love of her life, Jerald D. Brunson, Sr. Together, they built a life filled with love, hard work, and cherished memories as they raised their three children. A devoted homemaker, Katherine poured her heart into caring for her family.
Over the years, she was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church and, more recently, Gibtown Baptist Church, where she attended with her family. Katherine found joy in the simple pleasures of life - especially fishing, which brought her peace and contentment.
Katherine was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, Jerald Dee Brunson, Sr.; her parents, John and Laudy Grimes; her siblings; and her daughter-in-law, Sheri Brunson.
She is survived by her son, Jerald Brunson, Jr., and wife, Beverly, of Cameron, Texas; son, David Brunson, of Argyle, Texas; daughter, Robin Lynn Hindman, and husband, Skipper, of Weatherford, Texas; along with her 11 grandchildren, Jerald “Tres” Brunson III, Jackie Brunson Leath, Josh Brunson, Casey D. Brunson, Kayla Brunson Stone, Cody Carnley, Baylee Brunson, Justin Hindman, Cody Hindman, Christi Hindman Smith, and Jake Hindman; 33 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren, who will carry her memory forward with love.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Central Cemetery, 4260 Old Agnes Road, Weatherford, Texas 76088, where Katherine will be laid to rest beside her husband.
Katherine will be remembered for her steadfast devotion to her family, her gentle spirit, and the legacy of love she leaves behind.
