Katherine Charles Obituary
A celebration of life will be held January 10, 2026, at Welch Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1:00–2:00 p.m., with services at 2:00 p.m.
Born July 22, 1945, in Lexington, Mississippi, Katherine was the daughter of Samuel and Virgie Saxton Chisolm of Holmes County, Mississippi. She lived a life marked by resilience, strength, and deep devotion to her family, finding her greatest joy in time spent with them.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Troy Fulgham; her former husbands, Jimmy W. Charles of Cedar Bluff and Carl D. Fulgham of Columbus; her brothers, Phillip, Frank, Louis, James, Dick, and Leroy Chisolm; and her sisters, Dorothy Wilson and Vivian C. Atkinson.
She is survived by her son, Travis Fulgham of Starkville; her grandchildren, Tray Fulgham (Jennie) and Jessica Fulgham Pearson (James) of Huntsville, Alabama; her great-grandchildren, Lexie and Taylor Fulgham, Kailey Lumsden, Waylon, Kip, Jude, and Emmalyn Pearson; her great-great-grandchild, Lennon Kate Lumsden; and numerous nieces and nephews.
