Katherine Crane, 80 of the Bee Cove Community in Fontana Dam, NC passed away, Friday, August 15, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Katherine was born March 5, 1945, to the late Joseph and Florence Gunter Beasley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son in law, Jason Davis; brothers, Hudson, Raymond, Jimmy, and Gifford Beasley; and sisters, Ollie Beasley, Betty Lou Beasley, Thelma Morrow, Iva Lee Turpin, and Margie Anderson.

A native of Graham County, Katherine was devoted to her family and her church. She was a member of Welch Cove Primitive Baptist Church. Katherine's favorite things were, going to church, singing and listening to gospel music, gardening, and her most favorite past time was taking care of her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald G. Crane; children, Rev. Kevin Crane (Shellie) of Robbinsville, NC, Krystal C. Davis of Bryson City, NC; grandchildren, Madison, Mylee and Taylor Crane, Eliyanah Jade Davis; great grandson, Elijah Slade; and sister, Eva Nell Turpin (Beacher) of Fontana Dam, NC.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Welch Cove Cemetery in Fontana Village, NC. Reverends Dewey Brown, Onley Williams, and her son Kevin Crane will officiate.

Townson-Smith Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Crane family.
