Katherine Elizabeth Delaporte-Miller, 39 of Kokomo, Indiana, and formerly of Monroe City, Missouri, departed this world on Thursday, January 4, 2024. Katherine, born to Dave and Penny (Bastian) Delaporte, she was a beacon of light in the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her passing leaves a profound void, but her memory will forever shine brightly in the hearts of those she touched.
Katherine's journey began in Monroe City, where she graduated from Monroe City R-1 High School, leaving an enduring legacy as a bright and diligent student. Her thirst for knowledge led her to Missouri Western College, where she continued to explore her passions and cultivate her intellect.
A faithful member of the Monroe City United Methodist Church, Katherine found solace and strength in her faith. Her commitment to her spiritual community reflected the depth of her character and the values she held dear.
Katherine was a true artist at heart, expressing herself through digital fan art and logo design. Her creative spirit knew no bounds, and her work stands as a testament to her talent and imagination. Her artistic endeavors brought joy and inspiration to those who were fortunate enough to witness her creations.
Beyond her artistic pursuits, Katherine found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a profound love for reading books. Her passion for exploration led her to travel, creating memories and experiences that enriched her life.In the kitchen, Katherine shined. She was a great cook, delighting friends and family with her delicious creations. Her love for cooking was a reflection of her nurturing and generous spirit, always seeking to bring people together through the warmth of a shared meal.
Katherine's departure leaves a void that can only be filled by the memories of her laughter, kindness, and love. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.
Katherine is Survived by her parents Dave and Penny also grandmother Jean Freeman of Monroe City, Missouri, one sister Laura Harrison (Jason) also of Monroe City, Missouri, and boyfriend Stephen Andrew Demeter. She is Proceeded in death by her Husband Christopher Joshua Miller.
A memorial service for Katherine will be held at Garner Funeral Home & Chapel in Monroe City, Missouri Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 11:00am. A Visitation will be held from 10:00am until time of service al at Garner Funeral Home & Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to American Heart Association, American Diabetes or Cuddle Cats Rescue in Katherine's honor.
pallbearers for service will be Austin Abel, Grant Abel, Alex Delaporte, Michael Tosser, Roy Smith, Jesse Smith and Todd Smith.
May Katherine rest in eternal peace, and may her vibrant spirit live on in the hearts of those who were touched by her warmth and creativity.
